Breast Cancer Awareness, Day 3

There are clear connections between plastics and breast cancer.

If you want to lower your risk, you would be best to avoid canned foods, heating/reheating in plastic (including storage containers and steam-in-bag produce), and bottled water. (Besides being insanely expensive relative to other means of getting drinking water, the bottles leach when they get warm. While you might not warm it, the water was bottled in a hot factory and transported on a hot truck — the bottles have already been warmed when you get them.)

Here is more on BPA as it relates to cancer.

The catch, though, is that many of the ingredients used in place of BPA is as bad or worse on your body. Because of that, I don’t trust plastic at all, even if it as a big ol’ BPA-free label on it.
