This Week In Pregnancy: Week 26

6 months today!

There isn’t too much to report this week…

The most exciting thing — I finally got back on my bike. It felt SO GOOD to ride 🙂 I’m slow, and I don’t have the stamina to go very far (just a few miles), but it definitely was a huge boost for me. The Big Man has had a bike in disrepair on the porch for as long as we’ve lived here. He got it taken care of, and we went riding together the other night. There’s a path along the canal half a mile or so from here that we can get to without riding on major streets. I had never been on it. It’s a nice place to ride and easy to get to 🙂

Added bonus: biking with swimsuit on under clothes = come home, strip off the clothes, hop in the pool. Wonderfully refreshing!

My balance has been fine. As soon as I feel the least bit wobbly, biking will no longer be a good plan — I understand this — but for now, it’s excellent.

I continue to sleep well, which is fabulous. I’ve been drinking a lot of water still (80-100 ounces or more, depending on activity, per day). As long as I stop drinking a few hours before bedtime, I don’t need to get up at night. During the day, I’m bathroom-ing plenty. Right now, it’s not a big deal. When I get back to teaching (less than two weeks! already!), it might be an issue with back-to-back classes.

I’ve been not wanting oatmeal lately — it’s too hot — but I find that the red raspberry leaf tea isn’t too bad diluted a bit, so I’ve been just drinking a cup a day, chilled and diluted. At some point, that will increase to two or three or four, but I’m good for now.

Weight is still the same.

I have a two-hour glucose test next week. (They apparently don’t do the one-hour ones around here any more.) I am not at all worried about the results of that.

That’s really all for this week. Quiet, not too cranky (not like last week …) can’t complain 🙂
